The Global Slavery Index is a comprehensive research initiative produced by the Minderoo Foundation and Walk Free Foundation. Established by Andrew and Nicola Forrest in 2001, Minderoo Foundation aim to drive national and global change by ‘challenging impossible’. The Walk Free Foundation is an initiative of the Minderoo Foundation, with a goal to end modern slavery in our lifetime.

Our brief was to engage and empower civil society organisations, academics, faiths, businesses and governments worldwide to drive change and build awareness of the plight of modern slavery. Working closely with the amazing design team at the Minderoo Foundation, we helped deliver the 2018 Global Slavery Index master publication, a comprehensive 200-page research piece covering the prevalence and impacts of modern slavery. We also utilised digital channels to spread awareness, creating a 3-minute animated film showcasing the 2018 global highlights, voiced by Walk Free Foundation CEO, Jenn Morris.

The findings of the Global Slavery Index were featured across a range of major online publications, including the Washington Post, The Guardian, Business Insider and CNN, increasing awareness and encouraging greater accountability.
