Today, on Neglected Tropical Diseases Day, Impact Global Health has unveiled this year’s flagship report – a highly anticipated annual publication based on data from their G-Finder product and a large-scale survey. This comprehensive report offers key insights into funding trends and the progress of medical developments for neglected tropical diseases. It serves as an invaluable resource for policymakers, researchers, and advocates in the field. 

This year, Impact Global Health wanted to produce the report as a digital experience that would support audiences getting to the insights that are most relevant to them and encouraging them to share with their networks. We collaborated with Impact Global Health to reimagine their report as an innovative, digital-first experience that transforms how audiences engage with their findings. 

Reimagining Reports for the Digital Age 

Impact Global Health approached us with a clear vision: to shift away from static, linear reports and instead create a dynamic, interactive platform that encourages deeper audience engagement.  

The approach breaks the report into a series of tagged articles, enabling users to embark on a non-linear journey through the content. This allows readers to dive directly into the insights that matter most to them, while still being able to explore related topics effortlessly. 

For those who prefer the traditional approach, we’ve also designed a bespoke table of contents to support chronological browsing. There’s something for everyone, whether they’re seasoned report readers or new to the subject matter. 

Collaborating for Innovation 

From the outset, Impact Global Health saw this project not just as a one-off redesign but as the beginning of a new way to produce and present reports. This long-term vision fuelled our collaborative efforts and ensured that the final product would serve as a foundation for future growth. 

We spent deliberate time exploring different approaches to the user journey and mapping out functionality to ensure the user and the organisation’s goals were addressed. Every decision was made with clarity of purpose: to add value to the site, not only for today’s report but for future ones as well. The result is a feature that seamlessly blends design, technology, and strategy to create a user experience that’s as impactful as the report’s content.
